Kanye West is gone, say hello to Ye. While the rapper requested an official name change last August, Justice formalized the rapper's name change request. Kanye West is now called Ye. A patronymic without a surname or middle name, as confirmed by a court spokesperson.

Kanye West seems to want to draw a line on his past. While the artist is in the process of divorce with Kim Kardashian, he gets a makeover and changes his name. The rapper is now known for American civil status as Ye.

To justify his request when submitting his file, the rapper had mentioned "personal reasons". His wife, Kim Kardashian-West, and their four children also named West, however, have reportedly not planned to follow suit. A source told People magazine, “All the kids have the last name West, so Kim keeps it as is. Kanye didn't ask him to change it either. "
