Sadio Mane joined Bayern Munich on a three-year contract for the sum of 40 million (32 million euros with an additional 9 million euros in bonuses).
"I am very happy to finally be with FC Bayern in Munich," Mane told the club's website.
“We had a lot of discussions and I felt the great interest of this great club from the start. So there was no doubt in my mind from the start: this is the right time for this challenge. I want to achieve a lot with this club, also at international level. During my stay in Salzburg, I watched many FC Bayern matches – I really like this club!”.
Mane flew to Munich on Tuesday to complete his medical examination at Barmherzige Bruder Hospital. He was pictured leaving hospital in Bayern's training kit to sign lunchtime autographs.
Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn said: “We are delighted to have been able to sign Sadio Mane for FC Bayern. With his outstanding performances and great successes at the highest international level for many years, there are very few players like him in the world.
